Here are some examples of my Senior and engagement portraiture. I enjoy trying to capture a bit of the couple or individual’s personality in their photos. I try to not over-pose people, as I feel this makes people feel awkward and unnatural. People take better photos when they feel natural and relaxed, and that is how I work. I feel I almost specialize in taking photos of people who generally do not like photos of themselves. Many times I have photographed people who claim to be non-photogenic, but by helping them feel comfortable, they are happy with their results.

Children

I love children, and love catching their sweetness in photos. As they change and grow up so quickly, it is a privilege to me to capture a few moments with them for parents to remember.

Bridal

Bridal photography is an easy favorite: all the fun of a wedding but no stress of the actual wedding day. I enjoy giving the bride a preview of what she will look like on her wedding. If at all possible (and you are not traditional about the groom seeing the dress, etc.) I highly recommend even taking some bride and groom portraits, in wedding clothes, prior to the wedding. Having some of your portraits done prior to the wedding frees up your time to enjoy the day (and not just be endlessly photographed). This also makes it possible to have portraits together in wedding clothes on display at receptions. (Completely unsolicited advice, take it or leave it.)
